St. Vital Vics Specialty & Pre-Season Camps
The Vics are pleased to announce that Bernie Reichardt will be offering his highly successful defenceman camp as part of the Vics Specialty Camp week. Bernie will join both returning head instructors Rob Friesen (girls camps) & St. Vital product Riley Dudar (boys camps) to create a team of exceptional instructors. All of these individuals and their expertise are in very high demand in Winnipeg and Manitoba and we are very fortunate to have them working for our organization. You will find a brief biography of each of them in the camp section of the Vics website. You will find our camps to be well run and professionally organized, teaching our players the latest hockey techniques.
Camp schedules should be emailed out by August 1st. These camps are open to players of all skills and abilities. (AAA, AA, and A level hockey)
FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL PATICIPATING ATHLETES.
CAMP JERSEYS WILL BE PROVIDED.
Specialty Camp - Developing Skilled Defense
August 22 - 26 (5 - 1hr 15min sessions) $199
(Open to 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 born players)
Girls only groups and boys groups (Bernie Reichardt)
Each day will be spent on ice developing and improving individual skills at the higher levels of hockey specific to the defence position. All on-ice sessions will be conducted at a high tempo and players are expected to arrive prepared. The camp will feature a positive ratio of one instructor to every eight players. This ratio will ensure quality attention and focus to each individual player and help to achieve maximum feedback. Our goal is to explain not only “how” but “why” skills are taught and refined and how they relate to your success in the game. The defence position is essential to team success and our goal is to prepare participants to take the next step in their hockey development.
NO goalie training offered - Some sessions will be during the day starting after 10am.

Specialty Camp - Developing Skilled Forwards
August 22 - 26 (5 - 1hr 15min sessions) $199
(Open to 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 born players)
Girls only groups (Rob Friesen) and boys groups (Riley Dudar)
Each day will have a different topic and learn skills related to playing the forward position. (eg. Skating, shooting, checking, offensive skills, defensive skills, scoring, battle drills etc) - No goalie training offered - Some sessions will be during the day starting after 10am.

Pre-Season Camp
August 27 - Sept. 9 (7 - 1hr sessions) $175
(Open to 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 born players)
Girls only groups (Rob Friesen) and boys groups (Riley Dudar)
Curriculum features skill development, hi-tempo and customized training sessions under the direction of exceptional coaches. Each session will focus on preparing your player for try-outs and evaluations with a strong focus on fundamental skills.
3 Goalie max per session. (Goalie coach will be provided)
Sessions will start after 10am from August 27-September 2 and then after 4:45pm from September 5-9. No sessions on Sat & Sunday on the September long weekend.
